Favorite Alkaline Breakfast!
You may have heard various health claims about alkaline beverages, specially alkaline water. Some say it can help slow the aging process, regulate your body’s pH level, and prevent chronic diseases like cancer. But what exactly is alkaline water, and why all the hype?
The “alkaline” in alkaline water refers to its pH level. The pH level is a number that measures how acidic or alkaline a substance is on a scale of 0 to 14. For example, something with a pH of 1 would be very acidic and something with a pH of 13 would be very alkaline.
Alkaline drinks has a higher pH level than regular drinks or even water. Because of this, some alkaline beverages can neutralize the acid in your body.
Sharing with you all my favorite Alkaline Smoothie, it's perfect for breakfast, specially if you are trying to detoxify your body after the Holidays.
1/3 cup kale
1 tsp MCT oil
1/2 cup frozen or fresh berries
1 tsp spirulina
1 squeezed lemon
1 cup coconut water
1. Blend first kale with coconut water.
2. Add rest of ingredients, add more coconut water if you wish and blend well!
