I received many messages asking for the recipe for this juice, so here it is, just for you!
This juice was a total experiment I had some turmeric I hadn't used for a while and I wanted to change it up from usual morning green juice and let me tell you it came out preeetty good!
The bright color make a big statement and I wanted to make a big statement with the nutrional value as well. I came up with this Orange Ginger Carrot Juice made with turmeric, the nutrients are very high and the flavors are perfectly balanced.
Here are the key ingredients that makes this juice the perfect energy booster and anti aging supplement:
Carrots: The powerful orange color comes from antioxidant nutrients called carotenoids, especially beta-carotene. Carrots are also a rich source of vitamin A, vitamin K, potassium, B vitamins, vitamins C and a good source of fiber.
Ginger: This spicy root not only has a strong flavor, but it also has been used traditionally to help alleviate symptoms of gastrointestinal distress, nausea, and anti-inflammatory effects. This is a very powerful root!
Turmeric: This dark yellow-orange, peppery, warm and bitter spice is used in Indian food, for curry recipes, but there’s more to it than just its bright color. This root has been used throughout the centuries for anti-inflammatory benefits.
Orange Juice: Oranges have been know to have healing properties specially for immune system, for their rich source of Vitamin C. Make sure to use fresh squeezed orange juice.
Orange Ginger Carrot Juice with Turmeric
1/2 cup carrots
1 tsp turmeric
2 inches ginger
1/2 banana optional
Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
1. Add all ingredients in blender, I use the Ninja Blender.
2. Blend with fresh squeezed Orange Juice, cover 3/4 with juice and 1/4 with water.
3. Add ice and enjoy!
NOTES: I add a banana if I'm going to drink my juice before or after a workout.
